About Us
Starting out in 1997
as a small auto dealership, Preferred Auto & RV has grown
into one of the larger volume RV dealers in the state of
Montana. Preferred Auto & RV prides its self in selling our
customers a quality product at a fair price. Below is our
company history from the time we opened our doors.
July 7th 1997 - Consignor's Express opens as a small
automotive dealership. Primarily consigning used automobiles
as well as purchasing some vehicles at the auto auction to
sell to the general public.
August 2000 - Consignors Express added a line of tent
trailers with the intention of getting into the RV rental
business. With the first rental coming back with a fair
amount of repairs needed before the trailer could be rented
again, a decision needed to to be made. Do we rent them or
sell them? The decision was made to start selling the tent
trailers that we had and see how we did. The fall and winter
business was a little slow, but as spring came around
business picked up, next thing you know we were ordering
more and more trailers to accommodate the increased demand
for the RV products we had.
Spring 2002 - Consignors Express changes its name to Preferred Auto &
RV. With the demand for RV's increasing, people
continued to ask are these trailer consigned. There was always a
daily explanation of the fact that we owned the RV
inventory and that it was not consigned. Our name change
cleared up the confusion.
February 2003 - Preferred Auto & RV starts our adventure on the
internet. We started listing some auctions on the eBay
auction site. Business started slowly on the internet.
We dabbled at first, continuing to devise and refine our
listing on the internet until they were appealing to the
customer. These listing started to generate customer
purchases from all over the United States. Amazingly enough we had figured out
what to do to keep us busy through the fall and winter
months. We still keep a presence on the eBay site, but
also use other internet methods to attract business to
our store.
2004, 2005 - We continued to add more product lines
to our inventory. By clicking the link above for

manufactures listing.
February 2006 - Preferred Auto & RV purchases adjacent
property piece to accommodate the growing need for RV
display space. By adding the extra space we have been able
continue to increase our product line up, Which allows us
increased inventory for the best customer choices. Our
customer satisfaction continues to allow us to grow and we
are excited to be there for the new RV buyer.
